Returns, Refunds, & Order Cancellation
All orders through Badgesource.com are considered as custom manufactured products that cannot be re-sold, and therefore cannot be returned. Our products are custom-made to the specifications you selected. Once you place your order online, BadgeSource will email you a copy of your order for a final review prior to submitted it to production.
Once you confirm your order in writing and it has been submitted to production, no further changes can be made and no refunds will be issued. If your order is canceled per your request PRIOR to submitting your order to production, a refund may still be possible. Please note, all refunds may incur a 5% cancellation fee to cover our credit card processing fees on the canceled transaction.
Should the manufacturer make an error on your product, the item will be re-made correctly at no charge. However, if you approved the order and the order was made to your approved specification, we are not responsible for any errors regardless of the type: typographical, incorrect options selected, etc.

Shipping Policy
Please note that our manufacturers do not give us updates on the status of your badge/accessory order. The only time we are given an update on the status of your order is when it ships from the factory. You will receive tracking information once we are notified that your badge order has shipped.
All orders will be shipped via USPS, UPS, FedEx at the choice of the factory. Standard badge production takes approximately 4-6 weeks for Smith & Warren and 4-8 weeks for Blackinton. BadgeExpress and QuickShip products are manufactured within 5 business days of receiving customer order confirmation. Custom leather badge accessories may take 3 to 4 weeks to ship and will ship separately from your badge. Factory Rush options are costly, but may be available if you have an express need-by date. Domestic (US) Shipping:
Due to the limitations of parcel carriers, we are not able to redirect or modify your shipping address once your order ships. Badge and insignia products will be direct-shipped to you from the factory to eliminate delays. Other accessories and products ship from our warehouse in Denver, CO and ship via USPS.
International Shipping:
We ship via USPS Priority International Express with global tracking and delivery confirmation due to delays or shipment losses when sent via cheaper alternatives. Once the package has left the US, tracking should be available, however, occasionally the parcel carrier may neglect to scan the package and tracking may not be available. BADGESOURCE.COM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INTERNATIONAL DUTY FEES, TAXES, AND/OR SEIZURE OF YOUR ORDER BY YOUR COUNTRY'S CUSTOMS AGENCY. YOU WILL NEED TO TRACK YOUR SHIPMENT AND CONTACT YOUR CUSTOMS AGENCY TO PAY ANY IMPORT DUTIES/TAXES.

Badge Warranty
You have ordered a fine quality custom-made badge which comes with a lifetime defect warranty. Stock badges, insignia, custom metal products and leather accessories are not warranted. Should you wish to take advantage of this warranty, please contact AFI for instructions on returning the item for repair. If your badge finish needs to be freshened and you would like to have your badge re-finished, Smith & Warren and Blackinton both have refinishing options available.

Who Can Order A Badge?
We restrict the sale of law enforcement badges to individuals who serve in that capacity. Badges with law enforcement TITLES (wording such as POLICE, SHERIFF, FEDERAL AGENT, ARSON INVESTIGATOR, etc.) are only sold to those in law enforcement. If you place an order for a law enforcement badge, you will be asked to provide a photo of your department credentials (ID) or a letter of authorization from your department. We do not sell law enforcement badges to collectors. If you order a badge with Law Enforcement/Federal title without proper credentials, you will be asked to revise your order. If you choose to cancel the order instead, we will deduct a 5% transaction cancellation fee to cover our credit card transaction expenses. If you have any questions whether your badge will require credentials, including "Retired" badges, please contact us prior to placing your order.
Federal Insignia:
It is against US Federal law to provide federal insignia to those outside the federal government. This includes federal seals on badges. Due to USC Title 18 restrictions, DOD/DHS/DOJ name usage and DOD/DHS/DOJ seal are not available outside of the official DOD/GSA purchasing channels. Many Federal Law Enforcement entities including US Marshall Service, FBI, ATF, BOP, and more are only available through official GSA purchasing channels.
Restricted Agencies:
Certain departments, jurisdictions, municipalities, and organizations restrict the production of their badges. This includes, but is not limited to, NYPD, FDNY, LAPD, Chicago PD, Kentucky Colonels, and more. We do our best to catch any restricted badges before taking your order, however, it is impossible to know every law in every jurisdiction for approved/legal insignia. It is your responsibility to know your local laws regarding badges and insignia.
Right Of Refusal
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason. If the content/wording of your insignia is questionable, please contact us prior to placing your order. Thank you for your understanding.
